The Spreadtrum Driver (also known as SPD USB Driver) is important for connecting your Spreadtrum/Unisoc-powered smartphone or tablet to a Windows computer. However, you may need to uninstall it if you are experiencing connection issues, driver conflicts, or slow performance, or if you want to install a newer driver for better compatibility.
How to Uninstall the Spreadtrum Driver
Before you begin, ensure you have the necessary prerequisites.
Prerequisites
- A Windows PC (32-bit or 64-bit).
- The same Spreadtrum Driver package you used for installation.
- Administrator privileges on your computer.
Steps to Uninstall the Spreadtrum Driver
- Open the folder where you extracted the Spreadtrum Driver package.
- You will see two uninstaller files:
DriverUninstall32.exe (for 32-bit Windows) and
DriverUninstall64.exe (for 64-bit Windows). - Right-click on the appropriate file based on your system:
32-bit Windows → Double-click DriverUninstall32.exe
64-bit Windows → Double-click DriverUninstall64.exe
Run it as Administrator if prompted. - The uninstaller will automatically remove all Spreadtrum / SPD drivers from your computer. This process usually takes only a few seconds.
- Once the uninstallation is complete, you will see an uninstall.log file created in the same folder.
- Restart your PC to remove the drivers from the system completely.
Troubleshooting Tips

- Uninstaller not working: Run the uninstaller as Administrator or try the other bit version (32-bit/64-bit).
- Windows 10/11 blocks the tool: Click More info → Run anyway if SmartScreen prevents execution.
- Still facing issues? You can manually remove drivers via Device Manager or reinstall the full package and then uninstall again.
